Women's Soccer picked up a dominant home win Wednesday evening.
The (RV) Ravens topped the Graceland University Yellowjackets 6-0.
The Ravens had several chances early in the first half, but shots by Christine Znidarsic and Riley Degner were wide of the target. But 20 minutes in Annabelle Hoog passed forward to Rachel Beffa who was able to slot it into the left side of the goal for the opening score of the game.
In the 32nd minute, Riley Degner tracked down a long through ball and sent a left-footed cross into the box. Sam Mausbach was on the other end and knocked it off the right post into the goal to double the Ravens lead to 2-0.
The Ravens nearly added two more before half but Lizzy Gresch's shot was snagged by the keeper and Payton Vogelbacher's shot slipped wide right.
Znidarsic found the net in the 55th minute. The forward dribbled to her left and unleashed a shot past the keeper to put the Ravens up 3-0. Beffa notched the assist on the goal.
With 28 minutes left, the Ravens played a short corner and set up a cross from Emily Shepherd into the box. Beffa rose above the defenders and headed in her second goal of the contest to give the Ravens a 4-0 lead.
Moments later, Kourtney Koc sent in a corner to find Mausbach for the Ravens fifth goal of the game.
Payton Vogelbacher beat the keeper with under 5 minutes to go for the Ravens sixth and final goal of the match, with Denym McGinnis recording the assist.
The win is the 11th in a row for the Ravens against the Yellowjackets. The Ravens held possession for much of the game and nearly the entire second half, outshooting Graceland 34-3, and 17-0 in shots on goal. Ravens keeper Mackenzie Korzenecki was not called on to make a save.
