BALDWIN CITY, Kan. – Benedictine Volleyball earned their fifth straight win in their series with Baker University on Tuesday night, picking up a 3-1 win over the Wildcats.
The Ravens set a new season-high attack percentage at .382. Benedictine won the first two sets 25-19 before Baker earned a 25-23 win in the third set. The Ravens wrapped up the match with a 25-15 win in the fourth set, hitting .448 while holding Baker to .192.
Three Ravens finished with double-figure kills. Maura Lickteig led the attack with 16 kills, followed by Regan Bruggeman with 15 and Mary Pat Taylor with 13. Both Bruggeman and Taylor finished with a .520 attack percentage.
Amber Allen anchored the offensive, finishing the match with 44 assists as the Ravens finished with 54 total assists.
Defensively, the Ravens finished with 12 block assists, anchored by Lickteig with 5 while Allen added 3 block assists. As a team, the Ravens finished with 60 total digs led by Evelyn Arreola with 12 while Taylor finished with 11.
Benedictine remains on the road for their next two matches. They take on Grand View University on Friday night and finish off their road swing with a trip to Oskaloosa, Iowa, to match up with William Penn University.
