OSKALOOSA, Iowa – Benedictine Women's Soccer closed out the regular season on Saturday with a 1-0 road win over William Penn University.
With the win, the Ravens finish the regular season at 9-2-0 in the Heart. With 27 points and the win over Central Methodist University, the Ravens finish the regular season in second in the Heart Standings.
On Saturday, against William Penn, the Ravens' lone goal came on a penalty kick in the 34th minute. Hannah Phillips converted the PK, and the Ravens preserved the shutout through the second half to earn the win.
Mackenzie Korzencki finished the match with 4 saves over 90 minutes as she earned her eighth shutout in Heart play.
Phillips was joined by Jenna Wilkes with 3 shots and 2 shots on goal while Christine McLaughlin finished with 4 shots as the Ravens held a 20-14 advantage in shots.
The first round of the Heart Women's Soccer Postseason Championship Tournament begins on Nov. 5 the location of the higher team across the four first-round pairings.
