Benedictine Men's Lacrosse scored a season-high on Thursday en route to their second win of the Heart schedule.
The Ravens earned a 23-1 win over Clarke University to remain undefeated in conference play matching their highest goal output from the 2023 season, just three shy of the program's single-game record.
The Ravens took control of the game from the opening faceoff as it took 53 seconds for Benedictine to net its first goal of the game by Mason Eberle off an assist from Mac Postel Jr. The Ravens opened the game with 11 straight before the Pride broke their scoreless drought inside the first four minutes of the third quarter. That was all the Pride could manage as defensively, the Ravens finished with 16 caused turnovers on 36 turnovers by Clarke while holding the Pride to just 8 shots with just four shots on goal.
Benedictine was able to clear the bench and get every active player in the game. Liam Waldron and Brayden Hope led the Ravens with 4 goals each. Jordan Rodriguez scored 3 goals while Zachary Torres and Joey Calabria joined Postel Jr. with 2. Eberle was joined with 1 goal by Jacob Meyer, Davis McMullen, Parker Bostock, Joseph Bianchi, and Charlie Louree. Louree led the Ravens with 3 assists, followed by Postel Jr. with 2. Waldron was joined with 1 assist by Gus Irving, Bostock, Keegan Lindsay, Bianchi, and Calabria.
Aiden Nicholson led the Ravens with 4 caused turnovers, followed by Jack Northrup with 3. Max Thomason led the Ravens with 8 ground balls as he won 17 of 23 faceoffs while the Ravens won 21 of 28 faceoffs overall.
CJ Besuzzi went the distance in goal for the Ravens, recording 3 saves.
Benedictine hosts Missouri Baptist University at 1 p.m. Saturday as they step out of Heart play before returning to conference play on April 6 with a trip to Marshall, Mo., to take on Missouri Valley College.
