Women's Lacrosse made it seven-straight tournament titles Saturday afternoon.
The (5) Ravens defeated the St. Ambrose University Fighting Bees 18-7 to win the Heart of America Tournament Championship. The Ravens won the final five KCAC tournament titles and now the first two Heart tournament titles. The Ravens have topped the Fighting Bees in both Heart Tournament title games.
It didn't take the Ravens long to take control as Chanterra Allen scored 33 seconds into the contest. Margaux Gelbach and Kaylen Moore pushed the lead to 3-0 before Allen scored back-to-back goals to give the Ravens a 5-0 lead.
Christen Michaelides, Kiera Russell and Elizabeth Pluta all scored in the first quarter, as well. Added goals by Allen and Moore gave the Ravens an 11-0 lead after one quarter of play and set up a running clock for the remainder of the game.
The Ravens (13-3) held a 15-1 lead by halftime and 18-2 after three quarters of play before coasting to the finish and another title.
Moore had a game-high 7 goals and 2 assists. Allen scored 5 times, matching the single-season record of 89 goals set by Natalie Wechter in 2022. Russell and Michaelides both scored 2 goals and Alexa Hildenbrand dished out 3 assists.
