CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Benedictine Women's Soccer earned its fourth straight win of the season Saturday morning as the Ravens earned a 3-1 win over Mount Mercy University in the Heart Game of the Week.
After playing to a scoreless draw through the half, the teams traded goals and were tied at 1-1 through the 72nd minute.
Benedictine broke their scoreless drought during the 62nd minute on a goal from Payton Vogelbacher that was assisted by Rowan Yows. The Mustangs answered with a goal during the 72nd minute before Benedictine scored two unanswered goals to earn the win.
Isabel Agudelo scored the game-winning goal during the 81st minute off an assist from Vogelbacher before Yows scored 63 seconds later during the 82d minute off an assist from Teya Bigknife.
Madison Smith earned the win in goal, finishing with 1 save while allowing 1 goal.
The Ravens finished with a 18-6 advantage in shots with a total of 10 shots on goal.
Benedictine hosts Clarke University on Saturday at 12 p.m. on Legacy Field.
