KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After wrapping up the program's fourth Heart South Championship under head coach Joel Osborn on Saturday, Benedictine Football earned 21 All-Conference selections while sweeping the individual player honors with two Coach of the Year awards,
Coach Osborn earned the Heart South Coach of the Year while defensive coordinator Trevor Strong was named the Heart South Defensive Assistant Coach of the Year. Quarterback Jackson Dooley was named the Heart South Player of the Year, running back Xavier Ugorgi was named the Heart South Offensive Player of the Year and safety Isaiah Hasten was named the Heart South Defensive Player of the Year.
Dooley led the Heart South in passing with 2,805 yards at 255.0 yards per game with 33 passing touchdowns. Ugorgi led the Heart South in rushing with 1,034 yards at 94 yards per game with 15 touchdowns. Hasten led the Heart South with 7 interceptions while finishing the regular season with 5 breakups and 23 tackles.
A total of 11 Ravens earned first-team honors. Offensively, Dooley and Ugorji were joined the first team by Tanner Zimmerman (TE), Rashad Beckham (OL), Britton Smith (OL), and Harrison Schmitt (OL). Defensively, Hasten was joined by Zachary LeCombe (LB), Abram Phillips (LB) and Dylan Witherspoon (DB). Christian Klobe (PK) was named the first-team kicker on special teams.
A total of 8 Ravens earned second-team honors. Hasten was named to the second team as an athlete. Titan Osburn (WR), Joseph Lagaguaina (WR), Tres Madrid (OL) and Ja'Kobe Hinton (OL) represented the offense as all five starting offensive lineman earn first- or second-team honors this season. Jason Anderson (DL), Xavier Hernandez (DL) and Isaac Lopez (LB) represented the defense.
Blake Casteel (DL), Peyton Jobe (DB) and Tyler Watson (TE) rounded out the Ravens selections earning honorable mention honors.
Headed into the playoffs, Benedictine ranked third in the NAIA in scoring (563) and points per game (51.2). They rank fifth in total offense (5,503 yards) with 2,906 yards passing and 2,597 yards rushing. Through 11 regular-season games, the Ravens offensive line has allowed just three total sacks.
Benedictine earned the No. 5 seed in the 2025 NAIA Football Championship Series and earns a bye in the first round and will host a Second Round game on Saturday, Nov. 29, inside Larry Wilcox Stadium.
