Women's Lacrosse picked up their sixth-straight win to start the season on Sunday afternoon.
The (5) Ravens defeated the (RV) Webber International Warriors, 23-8.
After a somewhat slow start that saw the Ravens leading 3-1 eight minutes into the contest, the home team rattled off 7-straight goals in less than five minutes to take a 10-1 lead. By the end of the first quarter, the Ravens held an 11-3 lead.
A 6-0 second quarter propelled the Ravens to a 17-3 lead by halftime as they engaged the running clock as a result of leading by more than 10 goals. Chanterra Allen, Kaylen Moore and Mackenna Hill led the charge in the opening 30 minutes as each player scored 4 goals in the first half.
The second half was closer as the Ravens outscored the Warriors 6-5 to close out the 15-goal win.
Allen's 6 goals led all scorers, and she added 3 assists. Moore finished with 5 goals, Hill scored 5 and had 2 assists, and Kiera Russell had 3 assists and 1 goal. Lile Chekas and Emma Rushing each scored 2 goals.
Molly Owen earned the win in goal, making 3 saves in just over 41 minutes of game time. Monica Klecan and Margaret Ritson also saw time in goal for the Ravens.
The Ravens (6-0) will continue their stretch of visitors from the state of Florida when they host (10) Ave Maria at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 4 on Legacy Field.
