KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Lacrosse closed out the final week of the regular season and Quarterfinals of the Heart Tournament with a pair of wins. As a result, a program member was recognized by the Heart for their efforts.
Jac Couri earned the final Heart Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in Benedictine's regular-season finale win over Midland and a Heart Championship Tournament Quarterfinal win over Columbia (Mo.).
Couri won 29 of 53 face-offs for the week, winning 54.7 percent of his face-offs. He also recorded 17 ground balls over the two wins.
In the 28-7 win over Midland, Couri finished with 11 ground balls, a new single-game high for the season. He also set a personal season high against Midland, winning 69.2 percent of his face-offs.
After beating Columbia 17-8 over the weekend, the Ravens now advance to the Heart Championship Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against top-seeded William Penn University.
