Benedictine Football head coach Joel Osborn has announced the group of 2025 Team Captains for the Ravens with eight members of the team selected by their teammates and coaches.

This year's captains will be Jackson Dooley (QB), Rashad Beckham (OL), Kevin Harris (DL), Jason Anderson (DL), Tanner Zimmerman (TE), Zach LaCombe (LB), Dalton Witherspoon (RB) and Dylan Witherspoon (S).

"As a group, our captains have played in a lot of big games as Ravens," said head coach Joel Osborn. "Our players and coaches have once again done an outstanding job selecting the group to represent them as captains for the 2025 season. This group has continued to do what has been asked of them on and off the field, achieving success on the field and in the classroom. They have continued to do all of that with integrity and are a great representation of our program."

Beckham and Dalton Witherspoon served as captains in 2024 while the remaining six captains are serving in that role for the first time as Ravens. The group of six seniors and two juniors give the program a high level of experience in their rolls as captains. 

Dooley and Zimmerman were 2024 NAIA All-Americans while Dooley was the 2024 Heart South Offensive Player of the Year. LaCombe and Beckham return as first-team All-Heart South selections, while Dalton Witherspoon was a second-team All-Heart South selection.

The Ravens hosts Morningside University in a week zero non-conference game that features two 2024 NAIA FCA Semifinalists. Kickoff from O'Malley Field at Larry Wilcox Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m., Aug. 30, with single-game and 2025 Season Tickets available at www.ravenathletics.com/tickets.
