This week's game with William Woods marks the end of the home portion of the regular-season schedule for Benedictine as they travel to Marshall, Mo., next week for a game against Missouri Valley and then close out the regular season on the road in St. Louis, Mo., against Missouri Baptist on Nov. 7. The Ravens have a bye during the final scheduled week of the regular season.

NEWS & NOTES:

>> The Ravens enter play today against William Woods having scored 111 points over the last two weeks. That's the most over back-to-back games since they scored 144 combined against Central Methodist and William Woods on Oct. 18 and 25 last season.

>> With the two games over 50 points the previous two weeks, the Ravens have now passed that scoring plateau 18 times under head coach Joel Osborn. Since the start of the 2021 season, the Ravens have scored 50 or more points in 18 of 63 games under Coach Osborn, or 26.4 percent of the total games played during that time.

>> The meeting between the Ravens and the Owls features two of the top passing touchdown leaders in the Heart South so far this season. William Woods' Coleson Baum is second with 12 touchdowns, while Benedictine's Patrick Heitert is third with 11. The overall leaders in the Heart in passing touchdowns is St. Ambrose's Reggie Moody and Grand View's Casey Rooney with 14 each.

>> Two of the top rushers in the Heart South are also featured in the game. Ximoar Hernandez leads the South side with 699 yards for the Ravens. Jalen Proctor is ranked third with 381 yards for the Owls while Patrick Heitert gives the Ravens a second rushing leader in fifth place with 350 yards.

>> Jalen Becerra is the Owls leading receiver with 520 yards. He ranks second in the Heart South. Benedictine's leading receiver is Titan Osburn with 393 yards. Osburn ranks fifth in the Heart South.

>> Carter Holloway leads the Heart South for William Woods this season with 49 total tackles. Benedictine's Kolbe Sexton is ranked fourth with 47. Grand View's Drew Gerdes is the overall Heart leader in total tackles with 52.

>> Benedictine's Isaiah Hasten has recorded 5 interceptions this season. He entered the season tied for fifth on the Ravens career interception list and is now tied for first with former Raven Scott Miller at 17. Miller played for the Ravens from 1987-1990.

>> Benedictine has currently rushed for 1,686 yards through 8 games at 210.8 yards per game. Keeping that average over the next three games, the Ravens could finish the regular season at just over 2,300 yards. That would match the third most rushing yards for the program under head coach Joel Osborn without any addition NAIA Football Championship Series games.

>> It's still too early to determine the Heart South title. With Missouri Valley entering play today at 2-0 against MNU at 2-1, both programs are still alive. Baker enters play this week at 1-1. Two more wins for Benedictine combined with a Missouri Valley loss this week at MNU would put Benedictine into a solid position to win the Heart South title again.

UP NEXT:
Benedictine hits the road for their penultimate game of the 2026 season, traveling to Marshall, Mo., next week to take on Missouri Valley College.
