Benedictine Volleyball swept through its weekend road trip, sweeping Culver-Stockton College 3-0 on Friday night and then wrapping up the trip with a 3-1 win over St. Ambrose University on Saturday afternoon.
Against Culver-Stockton, the Ravens hit .286 en route to a 25-19, 25-14, 25-9 win over the Wildcats.
Stefania Scomazzon finished with 10 kills while Aubrey Wisker added 9 kills. JoJo Vander Woude and Bridge O'Sullivan added 5 kills each as the Ravens. Wren VanCleave finished with 40 assists, setting up the offensive attack that finished with 36 kills.Â
Defensively, Ava Penuel finished with 14 digs while Lainee Mustain added 10.
It took the Ravens four sets to beat St. Ambrose on Saturday afternoon. After opening with a 25-15 win, the Ravens dropped set two, 25-23, and the rattled off a 25-23 win over their own before closing out the Fighting Bees with a 25-18 win.
Scomazzon led the attack with 21 kills, followed by Vander Woude and O'Sullivan with 9 each.Â
VanCleave finished with 42 assists as the Ravens hit .223 with a total of 49 kills.
Defensively, Penuel finished with 19 digs, followed Kelly DeMeulenaere with 10. Scomazzon added 3 block assists while Lucia Maria Navarro added 2. Vander Woude finished with 1 solo block and 1 block assist to round out the Ravens defensive efforts.
Benedictine returns home for its next set of Heart matches, but not until Friday as they host Grand View University on Friday before taking on William Penn University on Saturday afternoon.
