OVERLAND PARK – Five members from the Benedictine Women's Basketball program earned seven honors from the Heart of America Athletic Conference today as the the 2026 All-Heart Women's Basketball Team was announced.
Kelli Storck was named the Freshman of the Year while assistant coach Andi Connelly earned the Assistant Coach of the Year honor. Riley Bruggeman and Nicole Storck were named to the first team. Kelli Storck was named to the second team and Oen Deters was named to the third team. Deters was also one of six players to be named to the All-Heart Defensive Team.
Benedictine advanced the Heart semifinals on Wednesday night with a 83-60 win over Missouri Baptist and will now host No. 3 seed Grand View University at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
Bruggeman currently leads the team in scoring at 17.8 points per game while shooting 80.3 percent at the charity stripe. She has 83 steals with 128 assists while average 6.1 rebounds per game. She currently ranks fourth in the Heart in points per game and is second in the Heart in assists. She leads currently leads the Heart in steals per game.
Nicole Storck is the Ravens second-leading scoring at 11.2 points per game. Her 52.5 percent shooting from the floor currently ranks sixth, while she is leading the Ravens in rebounds 7.8 per game – which is tied for fifth with three others in the Heart.
Kelli Storck is the Ravens third-leading scorer at 10.5 points per game. She is currently shooting 53.7 percent from the floor – which ranks her in a tie for fourth in the Heart in shooting percentage. She is averaging 5.5 rebounds per game while shooting 70.4 percent at the free throw line.
Deters is averaging 9.8 points per game through 29 games, while she currently has 82 steals while averaging 4.3 rebounds per game. She currently ranks second in the Heart in steals behind Bruggeman while her 122 assists rank fourth in the Heart.
