Men's Lacrosse picked up another convincing win at home Thursday evening.
The Ravens defeated the Siena Heights University Saints, 21-1, to improve to 3-0 on the season.
The Ravens got off to another fast start, taking a 7-1 lead over the Saints after one period of action.
The Ravens added 3 more goals in the second period, taking a 10-1 lead into the halftime break.
CJ Besuzzi made 4 saves in the first half, including three in a row at point-blank range to keep the Saints off the board in the second period. Besuzzi finished the game with 5 saves, and
Victor Granchelli added 1 save in 9 minutes of action.
Ian Madden had a team-high 3 goals in the first half.
Joey Calabria reached a milestone in the third period, scoring his fourth goal of the game which was also the 100
th goal of his career.
By the end of the third, the Ravens lead was 16-1, and the home side added 5 more in the fourth to earn the 20-goal win.
Calabria's 4 goals were a team high.
Mason Eberle, Madden and
Trent Harder each scored 3 goals, and
Mateo Herbertz and
John Paul Torgersen both added 2 goals. Herbertz notched a team high 3 assists.
The Ravens will hit the road for a 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7 contest at Clarke University to open up Heart of America Conference play.
