KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Women's Basketball has punched its ticket back to the NAIA National Tournament, as they were announced as an at-large selection on Thursday night as the Association announced the 64-team field for the 45th annual NAIA Women's Basketball National Championship.
Benedictine (24-7) is making the program's 15th overall trip to the NAIA National Championship and has earned the No. 10 seed in the Liston Quadrant and will travel to Campbellsville, Ky., for the first and second round hosted by Campbellsville University. The Ravens will take on the No. 7 seed in the quadrant, LSU-Shreveport (27-4). The Pilots are making the program's 14 trip to the NAIA National Championship and earned their selection as the Red River regular season and tournament champion.
The other two teams in the Ravens group of four are No. 2 Campbellsville and No. 15 Bryan (Tenn.). The first and second rounds take place on Friday, March 13 and Saturday, March 14 with the winner of the pod advancing to the Round of 16 in Sioux City, Iowa, with play beginning on March 19.
Benedictine will play the second game of their pod in the First Round at 7 p.m. ET in Campbellsville. The Second Round game is scheduled for March 14 at 3 p.m. ET. Ticket information will be released as soon as that information is shared with the Sports Information Department.
