Men's Lacrosse dropped a tough contest at home on Saturday.
The (9) Ravens lost to the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees, 10-6.
The Ravens got off to a tough start Saturday, falling behind 5-0 after one quarter of play. Turnovers were an issue as the Ravens had 7 turnovers in the opening 15 minutes.
Ian Madden got the Ravens on the board in the second quarter to cut the Ambrose lead to 5-1, but the Bees answered moments later to move back in front by 5 goals.
Mason Eberle scored the next goal for the Ravens, but again Ambrose had an answer to take a 7-2 lead.
The Ravens were able to find a bit of momentum late in the opening half. Eberle scored again with 2:17 to play, then
Jonah Salem scored with 2 seconds left on the clock to cut the Ravens deficit to 3 goals, 7-4, at halftime.
The third period didn't go the way the Ravens hoped as the Bees pushed their lead back out to 5 goals. SAU outscored the Ravens 3-1 in the quarter to take a 10-5 lead heading into the final 15 minutes.
Eberle added his final goal in the fourth quarter to cut the Ambrose lead to 4 goals, but that was all the Ravens could add in the final period, losing 10-6.
Eberle had 3 goals to lead the Ravens.
Brayden Hope scored 1 goal and a team-high 3 assists.
CJ Besuzzi had 5 saves in goal.
The Ravens (9-1, 6-1 Heart) will travel to (6) William Penn University for their next contest on Saturday, April 18.
