Women's Lacrosse earned a comfortable win at home in the semifinals of the Heart of America Conference Tournament Championship.
The (1) Ravens defeated the No. 4 seed Culver-Stockton College Wildcats, 29-1.
The Ravens wasted no time taking charge in Thursday's semifinal.
Lile Chekas scored in the first minute and the Ravens held a 4-0 lead just 5 minutes into the game.
Two milestones were reached on the Ravens 10
th goal of the opening quarter as Chekas scored her 100
th career goal and
Alexa Hildenbrand earned her 100
th career assist.
The Ravens held a 10-0 lead after the opening 15 minutes of play.
That lead ballooned to 17-0 by halftime. The Ravens completely controlled possession in the opening half, outshooting the Wildcats 32-1, earning 13 draw controls to C-SC's 2, and causing 8 turnovers.
The Wildcats were able to score a goal in the third quarter to break up the Ravens shutout, but the Ravens took a 22-1 lead into the final period, then scored 7 more goals to close out the 28-goal win.
Lorelei Siegel scored a game-high 7 goals,
Kaylen Moore added 6 goals and 11 draw controls, Chekas had 6 goals and 3 caused turnovers, and
Ava Moore had 3 goals and 4 draw controls.
The Ravens outshot the Wildcats 41-2 and caused 15 turnovers.
The Ravens (15-0) will square off against No. 2 seed Missouri Baptist University in the championship game at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2 at home on Legacy Field.
