Benedictine College Men's Basketball head coach Ryan Moody has announced the hiring of Kyle Harrison ('19) as the program's new Graduate Assistant coach.

A former Raven standout, Harrison returns to his alma mater after helping Benedictine capture the Heart of America Athletic Conference regular-season championship during the 2018-19 season and making two appearances in the NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship (2017, 2019).

"We are excited to bring Kyle back to Raven Basketball," Moody said. "He is a winner, ultra-competitive, and brings tremendous energy every day. His experience on the court and his basketball IQ will make an immediate impact on our program. More importantly, he will help our players grow both on and off the court."

Harrison played three seasons for the Ravens from 2016-19 after beginning his collegiate career at Northwest Missouri State University. During the 2014-15 season, he helped the Bearcats win the MIAA regular-season championship under head coach Ben McCollum.

Before college, Harrison starred at Blue Valley Northwest High School, where he played for Ed Fritz and helped lead the Huskies to back-to-back Kansas Class 6A state championships in 2013 and 2014.

Since graduating from Benedictine, Harrison has worked in the insurance industry specializing in group benefits and Medicare while continuing to coach youth basketball.

As graduate assistant, Harrison will assist in all aspects of the Benedictine men's basketball program, including player development, recruiting, scouting, game preparation, and team travel.

"I am excited and thankful to Coach Moody for giving me this opportunity," Harrison said. "Basketball has always played a significant role in my life and has helped shape me as a person. I am blessed to join such a great staff and to be part of the culture at Benedictine College. I hope to positively influence our student-athletes the same way my coaches influenced me as a player. Returning to Benedictine and the Atchison community also gives me the opportunity to continue growing in my faith. I can't wait to get to work."

The Ravens open the 2026-27 season this fall under Moody, who enters his 16th season as head coach.
