Benedictine Men's Soccer picked up a conference shutout on Saturday, beating Culver-Stockton College 5-0 on Legacy Field as the celebrated Senior Day before the match.
Henry Mullen created the first two goals of the match for the Ravens, connecting a cross to Haruki Kervers during the 16th minute to put Benedictine up 1-0. Mullen found Will Ediger during the 35th minute to push the Ravens to a 2-0 lead at the halftime break.
Benedictine held Culver-Stockton to just 1 first half shot as they took a 9-1 advantage into the break.
In the second half, the Ravens added to their lead with a pair of goals five minutes apart before the capper during the 84th minute.
Sebastian Arenas scored off an assist from Ahoy Victore during the 61st minute before Juan Piratova scored from distance off an assist from Braden Yows during the 66th minute.
Kervers capped off the scoring with his second goal of the match to round out the Ravens offensive efforts.
The two goals from Ediger and Arenas marked their first goals as Ravens and came on the same day they were celebrated as Seniors before the match.
Noah Reuscher played just over 70 minutes in goal, recording 2 saves before Payton Travis finished off the match with 1 save to help secure the shutout.
The Ravens finished with a 23-4 advantage in shot with 16 shots on goal.
Benedictine returns to the road for their next two matches, traveling to Missouri Valley College on Tuesday before closing out next week at Clarke. They return home on Sept. 30 with a match with Grand View University back on Legacy Field.
