MARSHALL, Mo. – No. 21 Missouri Valley College held off a second-half push from No. 18 Benedictine Women's Soccer on Tuesday night en route to a 1-0 win in Heart play.
Benedictine missed two scoring chances in the final six minutes of the match that resulted in a save during the 84th minute off a shot from Maura Maher and then Addison Duckers hit the cross bar during the 85th minute.
Missouri Valley netted the matches lone goal during the 39th minute of the match and then held off the Ravens who finished the second half with a q0-5 advantage in the second half in shots on goal.
Payton Vogelbacher led the Ravens with 5 total shots – 3 on goal – while Maher was joined by Jenna Wilken with 2 shots, one each on goal.
Campbell Gregory finished with 3 saves, while allowing the one goal as she went the distance in goal.
The Ravens remain on the road Saturday, traveling to Dubuque, Iowa, to take on Clarke University.
