PERU, Neb. – Benedictine Volleyball extended its winning streak on Saturday with a 3-1 win over Peru State College as they opened up the start of a three-match road swing.
After taking the opening set 25-7, the Ravens dropped the second set 25-17 before back-to-back wins in set three, 25-11, and set four, 25-18, to take the match.
The Ravens finished the match hitting .207 as a team with a total of 43 kills while holding the Bobcats to a negative attack percentage and only 27 kills.
Stefania Scomazzon led the attack with 19 kills while JoJo Vander Woude and Bridget O'Sullivan added 7 each.
Wren VanCleave anchored the offensive attack, finishing with 39 assists.
Mya Schirk recorded 6 aces as the Ravens finished with a total of 11 over.
Defensively, the Ravens finished with 56 digs and 5 total blocks. Ava Penuel anchored the back line with 18 digs while Kelly DeMeulenaere added 13. Allison Kuebelbeck anchored the front line with 3 total blocks while Vander Woude added 2.
The Ravens are off Tuesday this week before travel to Canton, Mo., on Friday for a match with Culver-Stockton and then off to Davenport, Iowa, on Saturday for a match with Heart newcomer St. Ambrose University.
