KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The penultimate Netting Professionals NAIA Top 25 Coaches' Poll was released on Monday afternoon and featured 6 of the 10 spots in the poll remain the same from last week.
Benedictine (9-1) remained at No. 3 with 406 points again this week as they prepare for the regular-season finale on Saturday at Larry Wilcox Stadium. Grand View remained at No. 1 with 436 points while Keiser (Fla.) held firm at No. 2 with 421 points. The only change to the top five this week, came at No. 4 where Montana Tech moved into a tie with No. 4 Friends as both programs moved to 10-0 with 387 points.
William Penn remained the other program from the Heart of America Athletic Conference, moving up to No. 16 with 221 points as they moved to 9-1 over the weekend. Benedictine's Saturday opponent – MNU – earned 69 points this week, 8 points out of the poll while Baker – who Benedictine beat 31-10 over the weekend – held on to 3 points and is the final team listed in the receiving votes category.
Headed into Saturday's Heart-UEN Clash of the Week on O'Malley Field, the Ravens rank third in both scoring (511 points) and points per game (51.1). They rank fifth in total offense (5,037), yards per game (503.7), passing touchdowns (32) and rushing yards (2,396). They also rank fourth in the NAIA in first downs (269) but are third in rushing first downs (141).
Jackson Dooley ranks fifth in the NAIA in passing touchdowns (31) while Xavier Ugorji ranks eighth in rushing touchdowns (13). Christian Klobe and Ugorji rank in the top 20 in the NAIA in scoring with Klobe (87 points) the second-highest kick scorer in the NAIA. Ugorgi (84 points) ranks 18th.
Defensively, Isiah Hasten is tied for second in the NAIA in interceptions (6).
