KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Women's Lacrosse has been selected as the preseason No. 1 selection in the NAIA Women's Lacrosse Preseason Top 10 Coaches' Poll.
Coming off the program's second NAIA National Championship, Benedictine earned 70 points to start the year at the top of the poll. The Ravens went 21-0 in 2025 and earned 4 of the 6 first-place votes in the preseason poll. Keiser (Fla.) and Cumberlands (Ky.) each earned one of the remaining two first-place votes as Keiser was selected No. 2 and Cumberlands No. 3.
Benedictine beat Cumberlands on Legacy Field and 21-15 in the 2025 NAIA National Championship Game in Savannah, Ga., in May. Life (Ga.) open the year just one point ahead of SCAD Savannah (Ga.) – the other two teams that Benedictine beat en route to its National Championship win, round out the top five at No. 4 and No. 5 respectively.
The Ravens opens the season with a pair of games on the road, first an exhibition at 11 a.m. Jan. 31 at NCAA Div. II Missouri Western before playing their official season opener on Feb. 15 in Quincy, Ill., against NCAA Div. II Quincy University t 2 p.m. After playing Ottawa University on the road Feb. 21, the Ravens play the first of five home games this season on Feb. 28 against NCAA Div. II William Jewell College at 10 a.m.
