KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released the first STADIONIC-NAIA National Selection Committee (NSC) Top 25 Poll on Thursday.
The NSC Poll will replace the Coaches' Top 25 Poll for the remainder of the season and will be released on a bi-weekly basis along with up-to-date ARC standings and the RPI rankings.
Benedictine Women's Soccer is ranked No. 3 in the first NSC Top 25. Headed into the week, the Ravens are the top ranked program in the RPI standings and the Midwest ARC standings while having the second SOS in the NAIA.
Members of NSC each completed an individual ballot based on data like the ranking percentage index (RPI), area rating committee standings (ARC), overall record, strength of schedule (SOS), and conference record. The same data being used come November when the selection committee is determining at-large teams and seeding the national championship field.
Benedictine is joined in the first NSC Top 25 by Clarke (No. 13), and MNU (No. 15) out of the Heart of America Athletic Conference. Out of their non-conference schedule, the Ravens have one opponent ranked this week, John Brown (No. 20). The complete poll is available at https://www.naia.org/news/womens-soccer/keiser-fla-sits-atop-the-first-stadionic-naia-national-selection-committee-top-25-poll/. Links to the latest RPI and ARC ratings are also listed at the top of the page. A note from the NAIA in their release about the first NCS poll – A team's ranking in the NAIA National Selection Committee (NSC) Poll does not guarantee a corresponding seed in the national championship.
