KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Lorelei Siegel and Molly Owen led top-ranked Benedictine (Kan.) to a 3-0 week to push the Ravens to 7-0 in 2026, including a one-goal win over No. 2 Cumberlands (Ky.), claiming both NAIA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Week honors for March 17.
Siegel, the NAIA's Offensive Player of the Week, and she was impressive. In the No. 1 vs. No. 2 battle between the Ravens and Patriots, she scored five of Benedictine's 16 goals, including the game-winner in overtime to beat No. 2 Cumberlands in Kentucky.
She tacked on another goal and six assists in a 19-5 win at No. 10 Marian (Ind.), and back at home in an all-Kansas battle with Ottawa (Kan.), she scored seven times to lead the Ravens in a 26-0 win over the Braves.
On the defensive side, Owen was equally as impressive, especially on the road.
At Cumberlands, Owen recorded seven saves and got the first of her three wins on the week, playing all 64-plus minutes, and two days later at Marian, she had 11 saves to go to 2-0 on the week. She also picked up the win at home against Ottawa, shutting out the Braves in the first half.
For the year, Owen has made all seven starts and is 7-0 on the year with 38 saves, while Siegel has 35 goals in seven starts, adding 15 assists.
Benedictine will put its 7-0 mark and 28-game win streak on the line Saturday at home against sixth-ranked Keiser (Fla.), at 1 p.m. CT, on the Benedictine Raven Sports Network courtesy of the UEN at https://urbanedgenetwork.net/watch/9826.
