OVERLAND PARK – For the first during the Outdoor season, Benedictine Track & Field has earned pair of weekly conference honors.
Joe Loughman has been named the Heart Outdoor Track Men's Field Athlete of the Week and Mary Lorang has been named the Heart Outdoor Women's Field Athlete of the Week.
Loughman continued his strong start to the outdoor season, hitting the NAIA A standard in the javelin with a throw of 63.65 meters to take third overall in the event.
Lorang also hit the NAIA A standard in the javelin while also meeting the NAIA B standard in the discus. Lorang placed sixth in the javelin with a throw of 42.02 meters while placing second in the discus with a throw of 49.54 meters.
After taking off for the Easter Break, the Ravens will return to competition with a pair of meet options on April 9-10 at the annual Mule Relays hosted by the University of Central Missouri and the Bronco Invite hosted by Hastings College on April 11.
