OVERLAND PARK – For the second straight week, Ryan McDougal has been recognized for his efforts on the hill for Benedictine Baseball.
McDougal was named the Heart Pitcher of the Week, presented by BoxOutSports, for his efforts in Benedictine's game four win over Baker on Sunday. He finished with 11 strikeouts over 4.2 innings pitched while limiting the Wildcats to just 1 hit as the Ravens closed out the Heart Series of the Week with a 5-0 win over Baker.
In 7 appearances this season that includes 4 starts, McDougal is tied for second on the Ravens with 36 strikeouts while he currently has a 1.59 ERA over 28.1 innings.
Due to the current forecast for the region, the series against No. 8 Missouri Baptist University originally scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday this week in St. Louis has now been postponed to April 6-7 – the Monday and Tuesday following Easter.
