Box Score GEORGETOWN, Ky. – No. 1 Benedictine Women's Lacrosse opened up a 3-game road trip on Saturday with a 25-5 win over (RV) Georgetown University.
Benedictine led 9-0 after the first quarter while Lorelei Siegel scored 4 straight to earn the first quarter and start the second to push the Ravens past the 10-point Mercy Rule 5 seconds in the second quarter.
By halftime the Ravens lead 15-1 before adding 10 more goals in the second half.
The Ravens outscored the Tigers 50-10, which included 42 shots on goal. Siegel finished with 10 points (7 goals and 3 assists) while Kaylen Moore added 8 points (2 goals, 6 assists). Mackenna Hill and Lile Chekas scored scored 5 goals each while Kiera Russell, Addy Horn, Alexa Hildenbrank, Sam Hall and Regan Engle scored 1 goal each. Russell added 2 assists while Hildenbrand, Hill and Engle added 1 assist each.
Defensively, Moore finished with 11 draw controls, 5 ground balls and 2 caused turnovers. Siegle and Victoria Majden added 2 caused turnovers each while Molly Owen earned the win in goal, finishing with 3 saves.
The Ravens remain on the road on Tuesday, taking on No. 2 the University of the Cumberlands in Williamsburg, Ky., at 6 p.m. ET, 5 p.m. CT.
