DECATUR, Ala. – No. 1-ranked, and top-seeded Benedictine Women's Lacrosse opens up its run at the NAIA National Championship on Monday at 10 a.m., as the Ravens take on No. 8 seed Lawrence Tech (Mich.) from the Jack Allen Sports Complex in Decatur.
Lawrence Tech enters play with an overall record of 11-7 after posting a 7-3 mark in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference. They finished the regular season ranked No. 10 in the NAIA and have three common opponents with Benedictine. The Blue Devils took on Cumberlands (Ky.), Georgetown (Ky.) and Keiser (Fla.) in non-conference play, while taking on Marian (Ind.) twice during WHAC play and a third time during in the WHAC Tournament Championship. They posted a 1-5 record in those six games, dropping the WHAC Championship game to Marian 11-7 on May 2.

This is the fifth overall meeting between the two programs, and the fourth of those meetings that has come in the national tournament. Each team has won 2 games in the series so far, with Benedictine's win coming in the 2022 NAIA National Championship Game. Two of those three meetings have come in the Quarterfinals with the last one coming in the Quarterfinals of the 2024 tournament when the Blue Devils earned a 16-11 win.
Monday's winner advances to take on the winner of the No. 4-No. 5 between Keiser (Fla.) and Reinhardt (Ga.) at 4 p.m. on Wednesday for the first Semifinal game.
