Men's Soccer ranked 13th in first STADIONIC-NAIA National Selection Committee Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NAIA released the first STADIONIC-NAIA National Selection Committee (NSC) Top 25 Poll on Thursday for Men's Soccer.

The NSC Poll will replace the Men's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll for the remainder of the season and will be released on a bi-weekly basis along with up-to-date ARC standings and the RPI rankings.

Benedictine Men's Soccer is ranked No. 13 in the first NSC Top 25. Headed into the week, the Ravens are the ranked No. 10 in the RPI standings and fifth in the Midwest ARC standings while having the seventh-best SOS in the NAIA.

Members of NSC each completed an individual ballot based on data like the ranking percentage index (RPI), area rating committee standings (ARC), overall record, strength of schedule (SOS), and conference record. The same data being used come November when the selection committee is determining at-large teams and seeding the national championship field.

Benedictine is joined in the first NSC Top 25 by two other members from the Heart of America Athletic Conference. MNU is the top-ranked member of the Heart at No. 5 while William Penn sits two spots in front of Benedictine at No. 11. Two of Benedictine's non-conference opponents are feature inside the top 10 in John Brown (No. 8) and Ottawa (No. 9). The Ravens have posted a 2-1-1 mark against the other teams in the poll on their schedule so far this season. The complete poll is available at https://www.naia.org/news/mens-soccer/cumberland-tenn-headlines-first-national-selection-committee-mens-soccer-poll/. Links to the latest RPI and ARC ratings are also listed at the top of the page. An important note that was included in the NAIA's original release – a team's ranking in the NAIA National Selection Committee (NSC) Poll does not guarantee a corresponding seed in the national championship.
