OVERLAND PARK – Benedictine Softball finished off the week with at 5-1 after posting a 4-0 record at the TopGun NAIA Collegiate Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Rhiannon Martin continued her hot start to the season on the week, and for her effort, she has been named the Heart Softball Hitter of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

Martin posted a batting average of .524 on the week with a 1.286 slugging percentage after she hit 4 for sunrise with 4 doubles and 14 RBI.

In the four games of the Collegiate Classic. She hit .429 with 3 home runs, 9 RBI and 2 doubles.

In 16 games, Martin is the Ravens leading hitter so far this season with a batting average of .340 and a slugging percentage of .740. She now has 5 home runs, 5 doubles with a total of 17 hits, 9 runs scored and 16 RBI.

Benedictine remains on the road Friday and Saturday, traveling to Wichita to play 4 games in a tournament hosted by Friends University. They will wrap up the road trip with a doubleheader against Friends on Sunday.
