OVERLAND PARK – Amanda Waymire from (25) Benedictine Softball has been named the weekly Heart Softball Player of the Week, presented by Musco Lighting.

The weekly honor is the first of the season for Waymire who went 5 for 5 in the Ravens split with William Penn University on Thursday last week. She finished the two games on Ravens Field with a home run and 4 RBI while scoring 2 runs.

In 34 games, Waymire is now hitting .368 with 39 hits (5 doubles, 5 home runs ) with 59 total bases and a total of 17 RBI.

Benedictine is scheduled to return to the road on Friday in Fulton, Mo, against William Woods University but the current forecasts for that doubleheader could force a schedule change.
