Men's Lacrosse ranked No. 9 in NAIA Postseason Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Men's Lacrosse earned 28 points on Thursday to finish the year ranked inside the NAIA Top 10 as the Association released its Postseason Coaches Poll.

The Ravens posted an overall record of 12-2 this season and earned the No. 9 spot in the Postseason Poll. Benedictine won its second Heart of America Athletic Conference title this season, which marked the program's third overall conference title since becoming an official sport at Benedictine in 2016.

Benedictine finished the season ranked seventh in the NAIA in goals (263) and third in assists (193). They led the NAIA in goals-against average (4.45) and goals allowed (62).

Benedictine's two losses came to teams also ranked in the Postseason Poll. They lost the Heart Tournament Championship game to No. 4 William Penn University and their lone loss of the regular-season came to No. 10 St. Ambrose University, who they beat in the Heart Championship Semifinals on Legacy Field.

Their 12-2 marks the highest total wins in a single-season in program history. The No. 9 Postseason ranking is the highest finish in the National Championship era of the program. The highest Postseason ranking remains No. 6 after the conclusion of the the 2019 season when they Ravens qualified for their program's first-ever postseason trip, qualifying for the NAIA National Invitational Tournament in Cedar Rapids, Mich.
