Softball earns No. 5 seed in 2025 Heart Softball Conference Tournament

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Benedictine Softball closed out its season with a pair of splits and has earned the No. 5 seed in the 2025 Heart Softball Conference Tournament.

The Ravens finished the regular season with an overall record of 30-20 and 15-9 in the Heart. The Ravens will take on the No. 4 seed Baker University at 9:30 a.m. Thursday from Busse Field on the campus of Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

CMU earned the regular-season championship and has earned the No. 1 seed in the Tournament. Grand View is the No. 2 seed and Park is the No. 3 seed. Following Baker and Benedictine are No. 6 seed Mount Mercy, No. 7 seed William Penn and No. 8 seed MNU.

Benedictine split its regular-season doubleheader with Baker on Saturday, dropping the opener 8-1 before closing out the regular season with a 2-1 win over the Wildcats. The winner of Thursday's game between Benedictine and Baker advances to take on the winner of the CMU and MNU in game 7 at Noon on Friday. The loser between Benedictine and Baker moves to game 5 at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
