CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Four members of the Benedictine Softball team earned recognition on Friday as the Heart of America Athletic Conference announced the 2025 All-Heart Softball Team.
Bailey Selvage was an at-large first-team selection, Megan Forsman was named a second-team outfielder, and Rhiannon Martin and Alma Garcia were both named honorable mention.
Selvage posted a 13-10 record during the regular season in 23 starts and 28 appearances. She threw 19 complete games with 6 shutouts over 163 innings with 161 strikeouts.
Forsman hit .287 over 49 games during the regular season. She recorded 39 hits, 24 runs with 11 doubles and 24 RBI.
Martin hit .262 as she played in all 50 games in the regular season for the Ravens. She recorded 43 hits with 8 home runs and 30 RBI to go along with 11 doubles. Garcia was the Ravens leading hitter, hitting .326 over 50 games. She recorded a team-high 12 doubles with 24 RBI and 5 home runs.
Ryan Cooper also earned recognition when she joined Martin as a Gold Glove winner. Cooper was named the recipient in center field while Martin was named the recipient at catcher. Headed into the second day of the Heart Tournament, Cooper has a .990 fielding percentage with 100 putouts and 4 assists in 105 chances. Martin has a .994 fielding percentage with 326 putouts and 23 assists in 351 chances.
