OVERLAND PARK – Amanda Waymire has been named the final Heart Softball Hitter of the Week.

The final set of weekly honors were announced on Monday morning with Waymire named for the second time this season having previously earned the same honor back on April 6.

Benedictine posted a 4-4 overall record on the week with Waymire leading the way at the plate with a .375 average, 9 total hits, a .917 slugging percentage, 6 RBI and 22 total bases.

She reached base safely in 7 of the 8 games while recording a hit in 5 of the 8 on the week as Benedictine locked in the No. 4 seed in the Heart Championship Tournament later this week.

Benedictine has an overall record of 32-16 while going 19-9 in the Heart. On the season, Waymire is hitting .351 with 26 RBI, 52 total hits and a .595 slugging percentage.

The Ravens open up postseason play on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at Mount Mercy against No. 5 seed William Penn University.
