DECATUR, Ala. – The NAIA released the 2026 Women's Lacrosse All-America Team on Sunday and Benedictine Women's Lacrosse was well represented across the three teams.
Kaylen Moore and head coach Clare Hanson headlined Benedictine's selections. Moore was named the 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Player of the Year and Hanson was named the 2026 NAIA Women's Lacrosse Coach of the Year.
In addition to the two individual awards, Benedictine earned a total of 7 All-America selections. Kaylen Moore (midfield) was joined on the first team by Lorelei Siegel (attack), Mackenna Hill (attack) and Lile Chekas (midfield). Ava Moore (defense) was named to the second team while Ainsley Moore (defense) and Molly Owen (goalie) were named to the third team.
Benedictine opens the their run in the NAIA National Championship Tournament at 10 a.m. Monday against No. 8 seed Lawrence Tech (Mich.) at the Jack Allen Sports Complex in Decatur.
In 16 games this season, the first-team quartet of Kaylen Moore, Siegel, Hill and Chekas accounted for 235 goals and tallied 116 assists. Headed into the national tournament, Siegel leads the NAIA with 80 goals, Kaylen Moore ranks third in assists with 44 the duo ranks second and third in points – 108 for Siegel and 100 for Kaylen Moore. Kaylen Moore also leads the NAIA in draw controls with 144 so far this season. She also recorded 28 caused turnovers and 45 ground balls in 16 games headed into the national tournament.
In 16 games, Ava Moore has 27 ground balls, 20 draw controls and 6 caused turnovers. Willingham added 16 caused turnovers and 17 ground balls. Owen has a 6.41 goals-against average in 16 games in goal, recording 71 saves against 203 shots. Owen ranks second in the NAIA in GAA.
