What to know about Briar Cliff
Briar Cliff is 5-1 and is riding a 5-match winning streak with four straight wins at the Siouxland Classic on Aug. 21-22. They have a win over fellow Heart of America Athletic Conference opponent Peru State, a sweep that started the win steak.

The Chargers have not faced the Ravens since the 2019 season, and this is the second trip to campus in the series between the two programs. The last trip to campus came during the 2014 season, with the Chargers earning a 3-2 win. Briar Cliff is 4-0 against the Ravens with all the last three matches taking place on neutral courts.

The Chargers are averaging 10.3 kills per set with a total of 258 kills. They are averaging 1.9 blocks per set with a total of 47 team blocks.

Alexis Even is the team leader so far with 48 kills, followed by Caton Firkins with 43. The Chargers have four players with 30 or more kills through 6 matches. Aubrey Hoeft has 25 blocks so far this season, and is averaging one block per set. A total of four Bruins are already in double figures on the block through 6 matches.

First serve is set for 5 p.m. as the Ravens host a Back to School Match to kick off the first day of the new academic year.

No, you aren't seeing double.
Benedictine plays two matches each day on Friday and Saturday. Friday's matches are with Xavier University of Louisiana (0-0) and Valley City State University (0-4) on Friday. They open up Saturday with a match against Benedictine-Mesa. The match marks just the second time since the move to Arizona that the two NAIA Benedictine's have met each other. The last time came on the softball field during the Covid-shortened 2020 season. The Redhawks are current 1-0, but play on Thursday at Peru State before heading to the Bruin Classic on Friday and Saturday.

The Ravens will wrap up the Classic taking on their first NAIA-ranked opponent as they take on No. 8 Bellevue. The Bruins are 2-1 and don't return to action on Thursday, hosting XULA for their first match of the classic.
