Saturday's Basketball doubleheader in Olathe on Saturday at MidAmerica Nazarene Univeristy is moving tip-off times.
The (RV) Raven Women will now take on (10) MNU at 5 p.m., followed by the Raven Men and the Pioneers at 7 p.m.
The match-up in the women's game is for the regular-season championship and is the Heart Game of the Week. Both Benedictine and MNU at 18-1 in the Heart and are currently riding 13-game winning streaks heading into the second match up between the two programs this season. The Pioneers earned an 80-77 overtime win over the Ravens in the first meeting in Atchison back on November 15.
The men's game has postseason implications on the line as well. In Thursday's latest PRS rankings, the system by which the 8-team conference tournament seeds are selected, had Benedictine sitting at No. 7, 0.5 points head of Peru State at No. 8. Five of the eight seeds have been clinched heading into the season finale weekend for the Men's Heart Championship Tournament. Central Methodist (No. 6), Benedictine, Peru State, Mount Mercy (No. 9), Baker (No. 10) and MNU (No. 11) are in the mix for the final three spots.
